[GT] Choosing an XML perl module, making GT run on Windows
Hello,
I want to get rid of the dependency on libxml-perl because it's not
available on Windows. I looked at that page to find XML modules for
Windows :
http://ppm.activestate.com/BuildStatus/5.8.html
There are many modules available ... I don't know which one to
choose. XML-Parser is integrated in ActivePerl but it's a parser
(SAX based iirc) and I find that horrible to use ...
A module that kept my attention is XML-Mini, lightweight and simple
apparently :

What do you think about using this module ? Do you have other
preferences ?
XML-Dumper also looks interesting for lazy developers like me.
However it requires XML-Parser.

Also Carp::Datum is listed as failing to compile on Windows but
AFAIK it may work if we remove the binary (generated with lex/yacc
stuff) and if we only keep the pure perl stuff. That's something to try.
For the graphical stuff however, neither GD nor perlmagick are available
on Windows. However the SVG module is available ...
Cheers,
