João, I do not quite agree. While you are right that 2 years is inappropriate for intraday data, 200 periods is not appropriate for weekly or monthly data either. There are probably many more users using GT for daily or longer periods than for intaday periods, so we should cater to that population first. We could also decide that there are different defaults depending on the time frame, maybe 2 years for timeframes day and longer, and 2 days for timeframes shorter than one day? Or something else...
