I'm a newb to this forum and just subscribed after finding GT just these last
few days.

I'm signing on via Firefox 3.53, but I can't get to the mail archive - that
link is not active -What do I need to do to make it work?

I have been unable to use either the Windows installer - under Vista 64, nor
the manual install via the tar ball as described here under Ubuntu Jaunty Jack:

Before I start asking questions, I wanted to search the forum, but have had no
luck yet.
