Is use Git a lot and I have almost no experience with Mercurial. Also I
have the feeling that Git is the DVCS that is spreading the most quickly.

That's a good question. Can we have a shared repository on github or is
there only personal repositories?

The domain is hosted at gandi.net and we can have some services for free
if needed:
- web redirection (your example above)
- a blog http://www.gandi.net/domaine/blog/
with multiple persons allowed to maintain the blog
- email aliases (for the mailing list for example)

But the storage is limited to 10Mb. Sourceforge has no restriction
apparently:

Sourceforge offer all of this:
http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/sourceforge/wiki/Custom%20VHOSTs

That's for the "point your own domain name". BTW alioth.debian.org or any
other FusionForge-based forge will offer the same.

Other features:
http://sourceforge.net/register-project/features.php

I'm not a big sourceforge fan (too much centralized there and sourceforge
itself is not free software) but it's certainly one of the best offering
out there. I used it for geniustrader before I switched to my own server.

Great to hear that!

Cheers,
