Sorry about the ignorance, but what is a point and figure chart ?

Anyway, regarding the error message, running "perldoc graphic.pl" will tell you the available options for that script.

--type=pointandfigure is indeed not supported.

graphics.pl complains about --type=pointandfigure with a bad type message ..
