I think that's because Yahoo no longer has Historical data for the EURUSD cross.

Anyway, you may want to turn on the "debug" and "verbose" flags in the .beancounterrc file, to try and get more meaningfull error messages.

I'm new to this list...
Are there any users of beancounter here ?
I'm having this problem when I want to get currency data in my database...

the command I use is :

beancounter fxbackpopulate EUR --prevdate 20010101 --date today

then I get this output...

   backpopulating EUR (using ^XEU) from 20010101 to 20050703
No luck with symbol ^XEU


Any idea what's wrong ?
